FM 107 drive-time
divas Lori & Julia
will host this multifaceted evening
of entertainment on Tuesday, May 23,
at the Coon Rapids Campus Performing
Arts Center. Proceeds from the event
will fund the ARCC Foundation’s
scholarship program.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. with
hors d’oeuvres, gift raffles
and a silent auction of purses for
girls and women. The menu will include
deluxe canapés, chocolate-dipped
strawberries, chicken salad and vegetarian
phyllo pastries, and cheese and fruit
trays. Each guest will receive a free
gift bag filled with items donated
by area businesses. Also available
will be free massages, provided by
area chiropractor Dr. Steve Hyjek.
Motivational speaker Cheryl Karpen
will tantalize the audience with warm-up
bits of wisdom. Lori and Julia will
follow with their humor. The evening
will conclude with a live auction of
high-end purses, with auctioneer Col.
Tony Elfelt, J.D. of AAA Auction and
Realty.
Additional event sponsors include
Jenson’s Department Store, Gently
Spoken Communications founder Cheryl
Karpen, and Col. Tony Elfelt, J.D.
Just as purses come in all sizes,
shapes, and colors, this event is for
women of all ages, from wives to sisters
to daughters. (A few brave men are
also welcome.) Seating will be limited,
so tickets should be purchased in advance
to ensure admission. Tickets are $25
through May 15, and $30 thereafter.
At-the-door ticket sales will only
be available if tickets remain. To
reserve your tickets today, call the
ARCC Foundation Office at 763.433.1220.
