The NISOD Excellence Award recognizes
outstanding faculty who demonstrate
continued commitment to excellence
within a community college setting.
Lynch will be presented her award in
May at NISOD's annual International
Conference on Teaching and Leadership
in Austin, Texas.
NISOD is a worldwide consortium dedicated
to the professional development of
faculty, administrators and staff at
open-access higher education institutions.
The organization promotes student success
through the continued development of
excellence in teaching. More than 600
community colleges around the world
are members of NISOD.
“Kim demonstrates excellence
in her teaching, and in her mentoring
of faculty as an Active Learning Advocate,” says
Susan Tarnowski, Anoka-Ramsey Community
College Vice President of Educational
Services. “She also demonstrates
her understanding of the depth and
breadth of teaching and learning through
her work on the Academic Master Plan,
her work as the co-chair of the Higher
Learning Commission (HLC) Steering
Committee and as synthesizer/author
of the HLC self-study document.”
