Europe to Become Classroom for Anoka-Ramsey Community College Students

Students will travel to eight European countries for month-long culture and history tour.

Language, culture and history can be studied in books, but so much more can be learned by experiencing them live. Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) will offer students an opportunity to focus on Europe with a special course in the Summer 2006 term, called “Field Study Abroad.”

The class will include a 30-day trip with stops in England, France, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Austria, Italy, Spain and Morocco. Offered through the college’s French Department, the class will allow students to earn two credits, though it can be taken as a noncredit course, too. No knowledge of a foreign language is required to take part in the course.

Participants will depart for Europe June 26, 2006. The cost for the course is $4,200.

For more information, contact Sara Bard-Lee of the ARCC French Department, at 763.433.1393, or e-mail her at brask003@umn.edu.
