College Administrator Selected for Leadership Training Program

Cambridge, Minn. - Deidra Peaslee, Cambridge Campus Dean of Educational Services at Anoka-Ramsey Community College, was recently selected to participate in the Academy for Leadership and Development, a national program created in conjunction with the Chair Academy of the Maricopa Community College District.

Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC), in continuing its mission of providing excellence in higher education, nominated Peaslee to take part in this prestigious program.

Cambridge Campus Dean of Educational Services Deidra Peaslee Cambridge Campus Dean of Educational Services Deidra Peaslee was selected for the Academy for Leadership and Development program.

The Academy is a year-long program which includes two weeks of on-site training, the establishment of an individualized professional development plan, and a mentor program. Peaslee will study such issues as the role of the organizational leader, building effective work teams, managing conflict, hiring for excellence, leading change, enhancing learning through leadership, and appreciating diversity.

A member of ARCC’s administration since 2002, Peaslee has previously worked as an assistant dean and director in several divisions of DePaul University in Chicago, Ill. She holds an M.S. degree in Counseling and Student Personnel from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a B.S. in Psychology from South Dakota State University, Brookings.
