Coon Rapids, MN - Have you ever had a good idea under stress? Of course not! People under stress never develop truly innovative ideas and improve productivity, because their brains shift into defense mode. A half-day workshop at Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) will explore these issues and offer effective antidotes to workplace stress.
“Bottom Line Laughter” will feature nationally acclaimed comedian and entertainer Stevie Ray, biomedical instructor Dr. Frank Freedman, and psychologist Dr. Deb Huntley. A fun and informative workshop, it will explore the physiological mechanisms invoked by stress and lay the foundation for helping employees change their behavior.
Workshop attendees will learn, laugh and come away with practical ideas for managing stress. The event will offer a great way for people to recharge and enjoy themselves, and learn some techniques that they can take back to the office.
“Bottom Line Laughter” will be offered Wednesday, Nov. 16, 7:45 a.m. to noon on ARCC’s Coon Rapids Campus. A program of the ARCC Continuing Education and Customized Training division, it will be held in Rm. D-100 of the Training and Development Center. The cost for registering, which includes continental breakfast, is $169 per person, or $149 per person for groups of three or more. To register, or for more information, call 763-433-1200.
