Coon Rapids, Minn. - Minco, a designer and manufacturer of critical components for critical applications, and Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) announced this week the award of a $399,998 Minnesota Job Skills Partnership (MJSP) grant that will spur the development of training programs for Minco employees and the surrounding community over the next three years, and beyond.
“What we’re seeing is a real win-win situation: a win for all (employees), and a win for Anoka-Ramsey Community College,” says Minco President Dana Schurr.
ARCC will design customized training in Lean Enterprise principles, process operator certifications, manufacturing environment and safety, productive maintenance, regulatory standards, employee supervision, executive leadership skills, and more.

Dana Schurr, President of Minco; Patrick Johns, President of Anoka-Ramsey Community College; and Paul Moe, Executive Director of the Minnesota Job Skills Partnership (MJSP) sign the official grant documents for the $399,998 MJSP grant that will allow Anoka-Ramsey Community College’s Continuing Education and Customized Training division to train Minco’s employees over the next three years.
