College Golf Event to Raise Funds for Student Scholarships

Golfers searching for great value on the course need look no further than the 14th Annual Golf Event sponsored by the Anoka-Ramsey Community College Foundation on Tuesday, July 26 at Majestic Oaks Golf Course in Ham Lake, Minn.

For $100 a person or $400 a team, golfers will earn admittance to an 18-hole, shotgun-start best-ball scramble tournament, access to a riding cart, entry to a barbecue dinner, and a chance at multiple prizes and awards. Even more importantly, they’ll be helping to raise funds for Anoka-Ramsey Community College student scholarships.

Tops on the prize list is a 2006 Chrysler 300 sedan, listed at $26,000, which will go to the first golfer to hit a hole-in-one during the tournament. Donated by Coon Rapids Chrysler Jeep, the auto prize is provided through the efforts of Coon Rapids Chrysler Jeep owner Bob Banse and leasing manager Gary Fischer, along with Coon Rapids Campus Foundation Treasurer Larry Crane.

Businesses seeking a greater presence at the event can sponsor a tee sign for $150. Golfers who would like non-golfing friends and family to join them at the barbecue can purchase dinner tickets for $20 per person.

To register for the golf tournament or for more information, call 763-422-3329.
