Golden Rams Basketball Camp Open for Registration

Anoka-Ramsey Community College Men's Head Basketball Coach to return as camp director.

Budding basketball players looking to improve their game will want to sign up for Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) Golden Rams Basketball Camp, to be held June 27-June 30 on the Coon Rapids Campus. The four-day camp is intended for boys and girls entering grades 6 to 9. Boys Camp will be held from 8 to 11:30 a.m.; Girls Camp, from 12:30 to 4 p.m.

Anoka-Ramsey Community College, home of this year's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III Women's Basketball champs Anoka-Ramsey Community College, home of this year's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III Women's Basketball champs, will host its Golden Rams Basketball Camp for boys and girls entering grades 6 to 9 from June 27 to June 30 on the Coon Rapids Campus.

Returning Camp Director Tom Duval will focus on offensive, defensive and team fundamentals during each half-day session of camp.

"The camp is designed so that each individual will leave as a more complete player," Duval says.

Duval, who has coached the ARCC Men's Basketball Team for the past eight years, will be accompanied by his assistant coaches and several current and former players. Under Duval, the ARCC Men's Basketball Team has reached the state tournament four times, and placed third in the 2000 NJCAA Division III National Tournament.

The cost for this year's camp is $55 if registering by June 10; after June 10, the cost is $65. The registration fee includes a camp T-shirt. To register, call the Kid U College for Kids and Teens at 763.422.3303, or download and return the registration form in the Basketball Camp Brochure PDF.
