Jamie is the third Gall family member to graduate from Anoka-Ramsey Community College. Mother Judy, who works for ARCC as a Web Specialist, received her A.S. in Computer Networking and Telecommunications is 2001. Judy’s step daughter Karee Gall also attended ARCC and received her A.A. in 1999.

A total of 152 students are candidates for graduation in 2005 on the Cambridge Campus. Fifty-eight took part in Commencement.

Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) President Dr. Patrick Johns welcomed graduates and encouraged them to use the skills and confidence they’ve developed to tackle new challenges. He referred to President Theodore Roosevelt, who once said, “Whenever you are asked if you can do a job, tell ’em, ‘Certainly I can!’ Then get busy and find out how to do it!”

Student speakers Jane Begich Johnston and Elizabeth Biesiada encouraged their fellow graduates to believe in themselves and continue setting new goals. Community Speaker Jean Anderson, a retired educator and professor emeritus with the University of Minnesota Extension Services, spoke of three keys to always cherish: time, treasure and talent. She urged graduates to find something important to which they could commit themselves, and to give back to their community.
