Help has just arrived for kids dreaming of summertime fun. The new Kid U/College for Kids and Teens summer course schedule is out, and Anoka-Ramsey Community College is now accepting registrations.

Now in its 11th year, Kid U/College for Kids and Teens has long been a popular choice for kids and parents in the Twin Cities metropolitan area and East Central Minnesota. The program is sponsored by Anoka-Ramsey’s Continuing Education and Customized Training Division.

Kid U is designed to provide preschool, elementary, middle and high school students with opportunities for learning successes in a college environment. The courses and programs ignite imaginations, expand knowledge and make learning fun. Courses offer a wide variety of innovative hands-on learning in subjects not ordinarily taught in traditional school curriculum, including visual arts, computer technology, performing arts, science, cultures and languages, math and problem solving, culinary arts, law, and literature.

“We want to offer kids an opportunity to have a positive, fun college experience at an early age,” says LeAnn Snidarich, Kid U Program Director. “The earlier they can see that college is desirable and attainable, the more likely it is that they’ll complete high school and go on to college.”
