| Coon Rapids & Cambridge,
Minn. The National Council for Marketing and
Public Relations awarded Anoka-Ramsey Community
College (ARCC) a silver Paragon for its work
on a folder cover designed to attract the attention
of high school students considering college.
Paragon awards recognize outstanding achievement
in communications at community, junior and technical
colleges. It’s the only national competition
of its kind that honors excellence exclusively
among marketing and public relations professionals
at two-year colleges. The 2004 winners were
announced on March 15, 2005, at NCMPR’s
annual national conference in Minneapolis.

“We are working diligently to make people
aware of the excellent educational opportunities
available at our campuses in Cambridge and Coon
Rapids,” says Mary Jacobson, ARCC Director
of Marketing and Public Relations. “This
award has validated our efforts so far, but
there is still more to do. We want people to
know that coming to Anoka-Ramsey is a very smart
choice!”
This year’s Paragon Awards contained
1,750 entries - greatest number of entries in
the organization’s history. This is the
first Paragon awarded to the college.
