| Cambridge, Minn. - Amidst good food, classy entertainment and friendly competition for the rights to auction and raffle winnings, attendees at the recent Scholardazzle gala fundraiser at the Cambridge Campus of Anoka-Ramsey Community College helped raise $3,800. The Cambridge Community College Foundation, the event’s sponsor, will use the proceeds toward student scholarships on the Cambridge Campus.
More than 40 attendees were treated to a stuffed pork chop dinner and a performance by 2003 Minnesota Idol winner Elizabeth Keeney at the event, held in the Cambridge Campus Center Food Court. Attendees were also encouraged to buy raffle tickets for a chance to win dozens of goods and services donated by 37 area companies and individuals. More items were available during a friendly auction headed up by Anoka-Ramsey Community College President Patrick M. Johns. Items available during the raffle and auction included everything from tool sets, to movie theatre passes, to decorative house wares, and more.
