Second-year nursing students from the Cambridge Campus and Coon Rapids Campus of Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) recently donated their time to the Hospital Loma de Luz in Balfate, Honduras. Traveling July 30 to Aug 8 to a remote jungle area on the Mosquito Coast, the students helped provide health care to some of the nation’s poorest and most underserved residents. Pictured, from left to right, are students Sharon Tacheny, Sarena Tvenge, Jacque Blaine, Amber Nelson, Rhonda Van De Stroet, and Michelle Larson. The trip was sponsored by Constance Free Church in cooperation with the Cornerstone Foundation. ARCC nursing faculty member Karla Larson co-led the trip with fellow church member Sharon Tacheny.
