Renowned studio potters to visit Anoka-Ramsey Community College for Ceramics Workshop

Anoka-Ramsey will welcome visiting studio potters Candice Methe and Sean O’Connell on Thursday, Sept. 26 from 9 am to 4 pm at the Coon Rapids Campus. The ceramics workshop is free and open to the public.
Methe has travelled around the world to places such as Nicaragua, Japan and Ghana, to research native and historic clay practices. Prior to her travels, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Minnesota.
O’Connell is currently the programs coordinator at the Red Lodge Clay Center. He comes from a background of teaching at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Alberta College of Art and Design. In 2016, he was named one of six emerging artists at the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) Conference.
The artists live and collaborate on projects with one another in Red Lodge, Montana.
