Coffey, former NBA player, speaks at Anoka-Ramsey Community College Sept. 26

Motivational speaker Richard Coffey, a former NBA Minnesota Timberwolf player, will speak at Anoka-Ramsey Community College Cambridge Campus. Tuesday, Sept. 26, noon to 1 pm. The event, sponsored by the college’s Student Life and TRIO SSS departments, is free and open to the public.

Coffey is currently a motivational speaker and life coach. In his professional career, Coffey has started multiple businesses, worked in corporate America, and given presentations throughout the U.S. He also served three years in the U.S. Army as an Airborne Paratrooper.

A native of North Carolina, Coffey is a former University of Minnesota Gopher Basketball player and NBA Minnesota Timberwolf. After retiring, he continued his basketball career by playing and coaching in Europe and Asia.
