Anoka-Ramsey’s English Department hosts free reading featuring faculty and spoken-word poet Tish Jones

Anoka-Ramsey Community College’s English Department invites the public to a free reading on Friday, Sept. 27, at 6:30 pm at the Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts in Fridley, Minn.
Readers at the event will include faculty from Anoka-Ramsey, Katie Berg, Kara Olson, Katherine Skoretz, Chris Stark and visiting professor spoken-word poet Tish Jones. Each will read original work, both published and works in progress.

“This event is a fantastic way to celebrate the work of faculty members and inspire students interested in careers in writing,” said Rachel MacDonald, English faculty member and event co-organizer. “We are also excited to help welcome Tish Jones to the Anoka-Ramsey community.”
Jones will be teaching a free, semester-long workshop open to all Anoka-Ramsey students.
Anoka-Ramsey’s English Department offers two options for students interested in writing: Certificate in Creative Writing and an Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) degree in Creative Writing.
