Anoka-Ramsey Art Students’ Holiday Art and Gift Sale, Dec. 6 – Dec. 9
November 21, 2016
The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Art Department is hosting a Holiday Art and Gift Sale at the base of the grand staircase on the Coon Rapids Campus, Tuesday, Dec. 6 through Friday, Dec. 9. Tuesday through Thursday, the sales runs from 8 am to 6 pm; Friday the sale runs from 8 am to 2 pm. The public is encouraged to visit the sale.
Anoka-Ramsey’s students created the art on sale in a mix of mediums including prints, paintings, ceramics, glasswork and ornaments, among many other things.
Prices range from $5 to $100 depending on the size and complexity of the piece. For each piece sold, 80 percent of the profit will go to the student artist and 20 percent will go to the Art Club to fund workshops, guest artists and more.
“This is a great opportunity for our student artists to showcase their work to the public, while earning some extra money just in time for the holidays,” said Jes Shimek, Art Lab Assistant. “It also gives the community a chance to support student artists and encourage them to continue to grow as artists.”
