Mulenga Kapungulya ‘10
Mulenga Kapungulya ‘10 was initially introduced to Anoka-Ramsey by a sibling. As an international student, Kapungulya felt a sense of belonging at the college that started at his very first visit to campus.
“When I attended Anoka-Ramsey, I would say the best aspect was the community,” shared Kapungulya, “I made so many relationships that I have maintained over the years. The professors were amazing, they really cared about my education and supported me in every way they could.”
Kapungulya was part of the first Men’s Soccer team at the college and helped make history by winning a championship as a first-year program. He was also actively involved on campus as a math tutor and part of the Student Senate.
After graduating with an Associate of Science degree in Business from Anoka-Ramsey, Kapungulya went on to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from UW-Parkside.
Combining everything he’s learned and his passion for soccer, Kapungulya started a business and is living his dream as the owner and coach of EdHope Academy. “My biggest accomplishment has been starting my own soccer development and sports performance business called EdHope Academy helping over 100 athletes. I have trained complete beginners and professional athletes in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas.”
