Reference

Library staff is available to assist students with all their reference/research needs and questions. See Gina, Barbara, or Al.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Students may borrow books, articles, and audiovisual material from 300+ libraries throughout the state of Minnesota and neighboring states. Interlibrary loan of books is for a minimum of 3-weeks. Articles are photocopied and become the property of the patron. MINITEX Electronic Document Delivery (MEDD) is also available for those who have an email address listed on their PALS record. Contact Ruth.

Student Loan Period

Students may borrow circulating books from the AR library for 21 days, with two renewals, unless the material is on hold for another patron. Students may borrow circulating videos for 7 days, with two renewals, unless on hold for another patron. Material must be returned or renewed by the due date, or a processing fee of $10.00 will be assessed for each item overdue. A replacement cost of $35.00 is assessed for most items not returned or damaged. Contact Ruth.

Reserve Material

Faculty place material on “reserve” in the library for students. Material is placed on Reserve during the semester for varying loan periods (i.e., Overnight, 3 day, library use only), at the discretion of the instructor. An Anoka-Ramsey Coon Rapids identification card or a library card is required before material can be borrowed. Faculty also place material on ERes (Electronic Reserves) which students from certain classes can access via the library website. Contact Ruth, Gina, Barbara, or Al.

Virtual Library Access

Library databases are accessible from remote locations, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. An Anoka-Ramsey identification card or a library card is required to access MNPALS and MnLINK. The 14 digit barcode number serves as the ID number, and the first sixteen letters of the last name is the password (default) for MNPALS and MnLINK. Contact Gina, Barbara, or Al.
