Darren K. Hoff - Chief Human Resources Officer

Introduction:
Darren came to ARCC after working in human resources departments at Hennepin Technical College and the Office of the Chancellor. Outside of state employment Darren has several years experience in human resources and finance in both private and non-profit organizations. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of St. Thomas in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources Management, as well as, several graduate courses towards a MBA from the UST. Darren has also been a guest lecturer in the MBA graduate program at UST, an adjunct faculty member at Hennepin Technical College, and is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).

Primary Areas of Responsibility:
Achievement Awards, Affirmative Action, ADA, Contract Interpretation/Implementation, Supervisory Training, Compensation, Data Practices/ Data Privacy, Grievances, Hiring process/procedures, Employee Investigations, Faculty Step Placement, Leaves of Absences, Officers of employment, Personnel Polices/Procedures, Sabbaticals, Separations/Resignations, and Performance Management. As well as, overall oversight of both human resources and payroll departments.

Secondary Areas of Responsibility:
Advertising/Recruiting, Class specifications, Column/Step paperwork, Job Audits, Personnel Data, and Recruitment processes/procedures.

Dawn Hohmann - Director of Data Integrity

Introduction:
Dawn has joined the Human Resources team at ARCC with 9 years of Human Resources experience in the private industry.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls.  Dawn is a certified Professional in Human Resources and is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).

Primary Areas of Responsibility:
Job audits and unemployment claims.

Matt Begansky - Director of Employee Relations and Development

Introduction:
Matt comes to ARCC with several years experience in private industry, most recently with AT&T, where he served in customer service roles and as an employee advocate.  Matt has an MBA with a HR concentration from the University of St. Thomas.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:
Advertising/Recruiting, New Employee Orientation, Search process, Affirmative Action, Supervisory training and community liason, Faculty Credentialing, Employee Development.

Secondary Areas of Responsibility:
Unclassified/Classified contract interpretation, Organizational Development.

Gail Peterson - Human Resources Assistant

Introduction:
Gail transferred to ARCC's HR Office after working in human resources for the State of Minnesota for 16 years. She also worked as an Academic Advisor at Metropolitan State University for 8 years. Gail has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from St. Cloud State University and a Master of Management and Administration degree from Metropolitan State University.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:
HRIS system, faculty transaction, HR employee Reporting.

Secondary Areas of Responsibility:
Data integrity.

Ryan Hoyt - Human Resources Assistant

Introduction:
Ryan has been a part of the Human Resources Department at ARCC since September 2007. Prior to ARCC, he worked in human resources in the private industry for three years. Ryan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources from Valley City State University.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:
Staff transactions, retirement, employment verification and reporting.

Jennifer Kohner - Human Resources Assistant

Introduction:
With over nine years of experience in both for-profit and not-for-profit industries, Jennifer has provided project management expertise in areas such as employee engagement, leadership development, rewards and recognition. Ms. Kohner previously served as a Program Coordinator in the Human Resources department at Mercy and Unity Hospitals, which are part of Allina Hospitals and Clinics in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Jennifer is a member of the Twin Cities Human Resources Association (TCHRA) and has a Associates degree in Business Administration from Winona State University.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:
Jennifer is responsible for new employee orientation, Department Designated Insurance Representative (DDIR), Workers' Compensation, ergonomic evaluations,  and FMLA.

Lisa Waggoner - Human Resources Assistant

Introduction:
Lisa has been a part of the Human Resources Department at ARCC since July 2007.  Prior to ARCC, she was employed at Columbia Park Medical Group.  Throughout her 3 years at CPMG she served in various roles as a Communications Representative, Scheduling Specialist, and Communications and Customer Service Trainer.  Lisa has held various positions over the past 6 years at Medical Facilities such as Allina and Health Partners.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:
Assisting with search process and job openings/postings, and tuition waivers.
