NEXT STEPS - After you are admitted
To ensure academic success, new students at Anoka-Ramsey Community College are required to take placement tests (also known as the "Accuplacer"). Test results are used to determine the appropriate course placement for you. Placement tests are offered on a regular basis throughout the year and the first set of tests are free.
Anoka-Ramsey provides students the opportunity to learn the necessary information to begin college successfully. All students enrolling for eight or more credits during their first semester are required to complete the college's online orientation program.
Students will have the opportunity to talk with an advisor regarding degree/program requirements and appropriate course load, then receive help with registering for courses. In addition, campus tours will be offered for interested students. These sessions are required of PSEO students and highly recommended for new students including incoming transfer students with less than 12 college level credits.
NOTE: Transfer students with more than 12 college level credits do NOT need to attend an RPS. Transfer students are encouraged to schedule an appointment with an Advisor at the Cambridge (763-433-1840) or Coon Rapids campus (763-433-1240) or may proceed with their online registration.
