What do I need to do to come to an orientation?
Just show up! You do not need to sign-up ahead of time.
What if I cannot make it to an orientation?
Attending an orientation session is by far the easiest way to get started with CP.
If your schedule does not allow you to attend, we can sometimes find time to provide additional orientations.
How do I know who my partner is?
The Partner Coordinator will match you with a partner and then send you both an email.
How do I know where we will meet the first time?
This information will be in the email that you receive from the Partner Coordinator.
Where do we meet after that?
You and your partner can decide where to meet.
Be sure to figure this out before the end of your first conversation.
What if I can't find my partner?
Try to be on time, and try, as well, to give your partner 10-15 minutes to show up.
If you cannot find your partner, you might try calling or texting.
Call or email your partner as soon as you can to see if you can find a time and place meet that week.
What if I have to miss a conversation?
It's best to contact your partner as soon as you know you won't be able to make it.
If you are unable to do so, be sure to contact your partners as soon as possible afterwards.
Try to schedule a make-up meeting so that you do not fall behind in your conversations.
Orientation Session Location
Most orientation sessions are held in the Riverview Room, which is located on the 2nd floor of Coon Rapids campus, near the top of the main staircase.
