Outside donors routinely publicize community-based scholarships through the Financial Aid Office. Scholarship information from community donors are listed below. Each scholarship entry includes the scholarship name, deadline date, contact information and a brief summary of the scholarship requirements.

   

Association of Women's Contractors Scholarship

Applicant must be:

1. Female student

2. Current resident of MN or attending post high school education in MN.

3. High school or GED graduate

4. Construction industry major- including but not limited to- construction management, estimating, project management, electrical and mechanical, architecture, design or engineering.

DegreedUp.org Cash Scholarships

NOTICE: NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED. Submission dates have changed and an important change has been made to this scholarship in order to make it simpler and easier to apply for. You no longer have to answer a question so just read and follow instructions to be considered.

“DegreedUP.org Cash Scholarship” is proud to renew up to FOUR $1,250 awards.

ANY student (future or current) that has been accepted or attends a community college, technical/trade college, or university may apply.

Ethel Curry American Indian Leadership Scholarship

The Ethel Curry American Indian Leadership Scholarship was given by the late Ethel Curry and is administered by the Minnesota Academic Excellence Foundation Board and the Minnesota Department of Education. In additional to other eligibility requirements, an applicant must be enrolled in a federally recognized American Indian tribe and be attending an accredited, college or university in the state of Minnesota.  A list of other requirements and application materials to be submitted appears on the scholarship application form.

1.      You must be an enrolled member of a federally recognized tribe.

2.      You must be attending an accredited, college or university in the state of Minnesota.

3.      You must be pursuing an undergraduate degree or apprenticeship program.

4.      You must have demonstrated an overall 2.0 GPA or higher on your most current educational transcripts.

5.      You must be able to demonstrate leadership qualities within the American Indian community.

6.      You must complete and submit an application to the Minnesota Office of Higher Education for the Minnesota Indian Scholarship Program.

7.      Preference given to Minnesota residents.

Minneapolis Builders Exchange

To encourage continued industry growth, the Minneapolis Builders Exchange Scholarship Fund awards scholarships annually to college and technical school students in construction related fields.

In the last ten years, since the fund was created, the MBEX Scholarship Fund has awarded over $90,000 in scholarships to students directly involved with the local construction industry.

MINNESOTAJOBS.COM has a scholarship program to help future Minnesota employees get the skills they need. This scholarship amount is $1,000.
