Anoka-Ramsey Community College Men’s Basketball freshmen Quincy Bethea Jr. (Robbinsdale Cooper High School) and Trey Scott (Spring Lake Park High School) were named to the MCAC All-Southern Division team as voted on by the league’s coaches.
Only one other freshman made the 15-man Southern Division team. Bethea was also one of only three freshmen selected to the All-State team which is comprised of the top 15 MCAC players regardless of division.
Bethea averaged a team-best 16.9 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game, and 4.1 assists per game while also leading the team in made three-point field goals with 83. Bethea’s made three-point field goal total also placed him seventh nationally among all NJCAA Division III players.
Scott ranked a close second on the team in scoring with 16.8 points per game while leading the team (and the entire Southern Division) with 4.1 steals per game. His 4.1 steals per game placed him fifth nationally among all NJCAA Division III players.
Anoka-Ramsey finished the season with a 10-17 record.
