Women's Basketball Player Named NJCAA Player of Week, Dec. 9

Anoka-Ramsey Community College Golden Rams Women’s Basketball player, Alex Moore earned the NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 9.

Moore , a St. Paul, Minn. native, averaged 19 points, 7.5 assists, three rebounds and two steals while shooting 54 percent (15-28) from the field, including 55 percent (6-11) from three point range, in two Anoka-Ramsey wins.

In a 76-41 win over Northland on Dec. 4, Moore scored 17 points with three rebounds, five assists and one steal. Against third-ranked Itasca on Dec. 5, she tallied 21 points, 10 assists, three rebounds and three steals.

Anoka-Ramsey, ranked #3 in the latest NJCAA poll, now stands 8-2 on the season.

Next up for the Golden Rams are road games at Hibbing and Rainy River (International Falls), Dec. 11 and 12.

Anoka-Ramsey Community College is a Division III Community College in Coon Rapids, MN and competes in the Minnesota Collegiate Athletic Conference. They have won six National Championships, the most recent in 2007 and been to the National tournament nine times.
