2012 Golden Rams Men's Soccer Team
The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Golden Rams Men’s Soccer program was established in 2009. The team is nationally recognized, earning a spot in the national championships and placing players NCAA Division I, II, and III programs and NAIA schools each year.
Tryouts: Early August
Training: six hours of workouts and conditioning through September plus weight room strength development and classroom film sessions
Practices: Six days a week, two hours a day
Season: August to November
Facilities: Game field and two practice fields at Coon Rapids Campus; 5000 square foot fitness center for strength and fitness development.
Awards: The Men’s Soccer team has been ranked nationally every year of its existence and finished 2011 as the #4 ranked team in the nation. 2009, 2010, 2011 Region XIII Champions; 2009, 2010 District C Runners Up; 2011 District C Champions; 2011 National Semi-Finalists; 2009, 2010. 2011 All Regions Awards; 2009, 2010, 2011 Region XIII Player of the Year; 2009, 2010, 2011 NJCAA All-American Awards; 2011 NJCAA National Championships All-Tournament Team
Message from the Coach: We are committed to the talented student-athletes who are competitive on the field and in the classroom. The majority of our players transfer to four-year schools to continue their college careers after they have competed for Anoka-Ramsey for two years.
