Golden Rams Drop Second Straight

November 15, 2010

The Anoka-Ramsey Golden Rams Men's Basketball team lost their second straight game on Saturday, Nov. 13, 72-57 to NIACC. A strong start to the game resulted in an early 10-point lead for the Golden Rams. However, an offensive dry spell midway through the half allowed NIACC to take the lead which they held into halftime, 31-29.

The second half proved to be much of the same as Anoka-Ramsey was never able to get anything going on the offensive end. Turnovers plagued the Golden Rams throughout the game, as they finished with 25 for the game, many of which resulted in fast-break layups for NIACC.

Anoka-Ramsey was led in scoring by Trey Scott for the third straight game as he finished with 13 points. Jamar Franks scored 12 points, while Dan Konz and BJ Asberry came off the bench to each score 8 points. Asberry also led the Golden Rams with seven rebounds, five on the offensive end.

Anoka-Ramsey falls to 1-2 on the season and travels to La Crosse, Wis. to take on Western Technical College, Saturday, Nov. 20, 3 p.m.
