Tuition Waiver


It is the responsibility of the student/employee for all items related to the payment of tuition at Anoka-Ramsey Community College.

For purposes of procedures for all applicable collective bargaining agreements, with language that contains “space available basis” and is not defined, the following procedure shall be implemented.

Employees and/or their qualified dependents who are eligible to use tuition waivers at Anoka-Ramsey Community College, may register through the normal student registration process. However, at the time of registration, the student is responsible for payment of all tuition and applicable fees.

For students who enroll through the normal registration process and pay all applicable tuition and fees: if at any time during the first (1st) class day through the fifth (5th) class day of each semester, brings documentation to the registration office that space, meaning one (1) or more openings exist in a particular class, is available the student will be entitled to use their tuition waiver for that particular class, and will be issued a tuition refund.

For students who do not enroll through the normal registration process: if at any time during the first (1st) class day through the fifth (5th) class day of each semester, brings documentation to the registration office that space, meaning one (1) or more openings exist in a particular class, is available the student will be entitled to use their tuition waiver for that particular class and will be immediately enrolled.

It is the responsibility of the student to provide documentation to the registration office that the space does exist, and the student must provide this documentation between the first (1st) class day and the fifth (5th) class day of the semester.  Any tuition waiver request after the fifth (5th) class day of each semester will be denied and the student will be responsible for all tuition payments due
