I am also recruiting 25 students for the Green Dot Training session, March 2. We are looking for students that you feel are leaders. Could you please encourage students to see Hilary Gokey (or the front desk) about signing up for this training session: 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., March 2. Lunch will be provided! If you would like me to come to a class and talk about our Counseling services and/or the Green Dot training, I would be happy to do so.

Pause for Appreciation

Submitted by Luanne Kane, Educational Services on behalf of a former student of Gary Cook
Hi Professor Cook!
I took your Consumer Health class in the spring of 2009. I wanted to let you know how inspiring your class was, and the lasting impression it has had on me. I transferred from Anoka-Ramsey to Metropolitan State and finished my bachelor's degree in 2011. This fall I started law school at Berkeley Law Boalt Hall, and am an executive board member on the Consumer Advocacy and Protection Society here. I recently accepted a position for the summer working on consumer litigation. As it looks right now, I will most likely pursue a career in plaintiff-side consumer protection litigation.
I just wanted to extend a thank you for teaching a great class and inspiring me to follow a career in this area.
P.S. I still check Quackwatch.org all the time!
