December 21, 2012

Never before has a college education been so important. Your help is needed to keep it in reach of many Anoka-Ramsey Community College students.

That need is why the Anoka-Ramsey Community College Cambridge Campus Foundation is hosting its annual Scholardazzle scholarship fundraiser: to raise funds for deserving local students. The Scholardazzle festivities are set for Friday, Jan. 25, 6 to 9 p.m. at Spectacular Events Banquet Center (1320 County Rd 5 NE, Isanti, Minn.)

For $55 per ticket, or $100 for a pair of tickets, attendees enjoy a gourmet dinner, live music, raffles and silent and live auctions. Auction items include premium goods and services from local businesses such as Sears’ Craftsmen tool sets, a high-end bicycle from Outdoor Edge, Robert Briscoe pottery, an iPad Mini and more.

“I attended a community college and, at the time, I didn’t have any money to speak of.” says the owner of Outdoor Edge, KC Bohn, who, for the sixth straight year, has donated a bicycle to be auctioned at the event. “That’s why I support the students of our community college.”

Last year, Anoka-Ramsey provided $50,000 in scholarships to 77 students on the Cambridge Campus.   This year Scholardazzle organizers hope to gross $35,000 to support scholarships for Cambridge Campus students.

Please help by calling 763-433-1820 to reserve tickets today. Seating is limited. Tickets are only $55 each or $100 for two. The foundation is a charitable organization; gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
