College Annual Scholardazzle Fundraiser Sets New Fundraising Record

February 14, 2013

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College annual Scholardazzle fundraiser for scholarships sponsored by the college’s Cambridge Campus Foundation raised more than $37,700 in gross revenue, breaking last year’s record of $30,900.

Event chairpersons Jackie Moen and Deb Molano credit the dramatic increase in revenue to the event committee’s hard work and the generosity of the community.

The event, organized by the foundation’s board of directors with support from college faculty and staff, drew more than 200 people to help raise money for scholarships for local students attending Anoka-Ramsey’s Cambridge Campus.

Due to the strong support of area businesses and donors, and numerous volunteers and staff, attendees enjoyed an event that was as fun as it was important to the future of the community. The evening included a gourmet dinner, musical entertainment provided by college music faculty, raffles, games, and silent and live auctions.

While many community donors contributed to the success of this event, major sponsors included: Arrow Tank, Cambridge Medical Center, Chilson’s Jewelry, Outdoor Edge, Presbyterian Homes, Deborah and Thomas Molano, Juanita and Chuck Peterson, Schlagel, Inc., John and Bonnie Schlagel, Spectacular Events and Walmart of Cambridge.
