The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Coon Rapids Campus Foundation recently welcomed five new directors from the community:
- Dan Erhart: former chair, 30-year Anoka County Commissioner
- David Halek, vice president, Coon Rapids Lions Club Foundation
- Ryan Marr, co-owner and financial advisor, Landmark Financial
- Lisa McDaniel, vice president, Minnwest Bank
- Susan McPherson, president, Creative Communications Consultants, Inc.
“This honor is an opportunity for all of us to give back to our community,” said new director David Halek. “I am committed to the excellence the foundation promotes and scholarship and grant opportunities it provides.”
The foundation, an independent non-profit organization, provides more than 130 scholarships a year to Coon Rapids Campus students at Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
The group raises funds through annual fundraising events including: Prairie Home Delights, a golf tournament and the college employee-giving campaign. It also raises funds through donations from alumni as well as companies and individuals in the college’s service area.
