MnSCU Board of Trustees to Adopt Recommendations in “Charting the Future for a Prosperous Minnesota”

November 19, 2013

Bold new path calls for significant collaboration among colleges and universities.

The Board of Trustees of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities will vote on adopting a set of strategic recommendations that call for the 31 colleges and universities to significantly increase collaboration to improve access, increase affordability, and better serve students.

The recommended strategies will position MnSCU to deliver on the three commitments articulated in the Strategic Framework (adopted by the Board of Trustees in January 2012) and effectively address the challenges facing higher education.

Following the Board meeting, students, faculty, staff, college/university presidents, and trustees will be available to discuss the recommendations, the trends that are behind them, and the benefits they offer for students, communities, and taxpayers.
