Public Invited to Support Education at Prairie Home Delights Sept. 28

August 28, 2012

Anoka-Ramsey Community College Foundation and Mercy and Unity Hospitals welcome the community to share in an evening of exquisite tastes of local gourmet cheeses, locally-sourced autumnal dishes and decadent deserts, while enjoying live music by college faculty and students as well as live and silent auctions.

The event raises funds for student scholarships at the college.

Prairie Home Delights
Friday, Sept. 28, 2012
6 to 9 pm
Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Coon Rapids Campus
Tickets $40 ($50 after Sept. 21)
includes, food, music and fun

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Foundation has held this event to benefit deserving students since 1993, but this year added a new twist by changing up the food options.

“This year the event committee was inspired by a mix of old and new, fancy and back-to-basics,” explains Michael Wall, Director of Stewardship at Anoka-Ramsey.

“The event returns to campus, overlooking the Mississippi River, and the food will be catered by the Taher chefs behind great restaurants like Forepaugh’s and the Woodfire Grill.  I have tasted the food myself and I have to say,  it’s going to be great!”

The live and silent auctions will feature generously donated items and services by businesses and individuals in the community.  The popular “Wall of Wine” returns, as do some very fun games for attendees.
