Ready for Fun? Candlelight Ski is Feb. 6

Anoka-Ramsey Community College is hosting its annual Candlelight Ski, Saturday, Feb. 6, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Cambridge Campus. Everyone is invited to this free event.

The public is invited to join college faculty, staff and students for an evening of skiing or hiking along two miles of candlelit trails skirting the Rum River. The candlelit trails are part of the Spirit River Nature Area's cross-country ski trails that wander through the Cambridge Campus and the City of Cambridge.

Along with skiing or hiking, festivities will include hot chocolate and other refreshments and a chance to win door prizes to be given out at 7:30 p.m.

The Mystery Mountain Boys, a local Blue Grass band, will perform in the food court from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Skiing begins from the Campus Center on the east side of Cty. Rte. 70. Free parking is available next to the Campus Center.  

Ski rental is available through Outdoor Edge. To reserve your ski equipment, call 763-552-3343. Ski equipment can be picked up at Outdoor Edge, 115 S. Adam St. Cambridge.
