College Announces Cast for "Man of La Mancha" Musical

January 28, 2008

The musical, "Man of La Mancha," will hit the stage at the Anoka-Ramsey Community College Coon Rapids Campus Performing Arts Center, Feb. 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16 at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to watch the following student thespians perform the story of a frail, delusional old man's hope to fight cynicism and despair.

"Man of La Mancha"
"Man of La Mancha," is a musical based in the Miquel Cervantes masterpiece, "Don Quixote," and written by Dale Wasserman. With music by Mitch Leigh and lyrics by Joe Darion, the production revisits the story of a frail, delusional old man who, convinced he is a knight, undertakes a quest to bring some measure of grace to the world.

Recommended for ages 12 and up.

Tickets are $8 for the general public and are available at the college bookstore during normal business hours or at the Performing Arts Center box office 30 minutes before each performance. For more information, call 763-433-1250.
