Graduates receive diplomas

Graduates of Anoka-Ramsey Community College Cambridge Campus receive their college diplomas from Dr. Patrick M. Johns, College President, during the 2008 Commencement Ceremony, May 16. This was the first commencement ceremony in the college's new facility, completed fall 2008.

Choir/Band Concerts
Faculty member Melissa Bergstrom directs current members of the Coon Rapids student choir and alumni choir during the May 8 concert titled "Today is the Gift, Music of Celebration and Remembrance."
Concert Speaking to musicians through a director's language, faculty member Sam Bergstrom directs the concert band, band alumni and special guests who performed the world premier of "Bounce Back for Ellis" — the newly composed piece by Stephen Paulus. This performance received a standing ovation by the over-capacity crowd at the Coon Rapids Campus Performing Arts Center, May 8.
Student Awards Cambridge Campus Jan Kopp addresses the crowd as members of the student choir prepare for the next number during the Cambridge Campus spring choir concert, May 2. Jan will retire from the college this spring. A party in her honor is scheduled for May 14 at Noon in E244.

Veteran's Picnic Veteran's Picnic
Dean Cindy Nutter assists a veteran at the veteran's picnic at the Coon Rapids Campus, May 8. Nearly 40 veterans and their guests attended the event that was designed to inform veterans about all the services available at Anoka-Ramsey to assist them with attending college.

Anoka-Ramsey retirees are excited to see one another during the retiree luncheon on the Coon Rapids Campus, May 1.
Dr. Maryan McCormick Welcome
Dr. Maryan McCormick, wife of Chancellor McCormick, was a guest on the Coon Rapids Campus, April 24, to observe a glassblowing demonstration. Instructors Eric Dahlberg and Bob Toensing also assisted Maryan as she created a glassblown paperweight.
Ceramics Ceramics Raffle & Sale
Mark Lambert, art faculty member created more than a hundred ceramic pieces for a raffle and sale, May 8, designed to raise funds for an art scholarship.
Student reading Student Creativity
A student reads a piece he wrote that was published in "The Rapids Review" — a literary and art journal by students from the Coon Rapids Campus. "The Spirit River Review" is the literary journal that includes works by students, staff and faculty from the Cambridge Campus.
Construction Construction
The new two-story courtyard infill construction project on the Coon Rapids Campus is progressing and scheduled to be complete by spring semester 2009. Plans to for a welcoming, park-like outdoor courtyard are also underway.
