“It is great to enter an organization like Anoka-Ramsey,” says Alto, who will also coach the women’s softball team. “This administration has stepped forward to offer athletic opportunities to students, and the students are stepping forward to take advantage of these opportunities.”
In his new role, Alto will provide leadership, direction and coordination for Anoka-Ramsey’s intercollegiate sports program and ensure compliance with NJCAA eligibility requirements and MCAC policies.

Alto, also the college’s head softball coach, is committed to helping to make Anoka-Ramsey’s Athletic Program the best around, and ensuring the opportunity for participation is open to all qualified students.
“I have two women in their 30s on my softball team,” says Alto. “They love the opportunity that Anoka-Ramsey has afforded them, and so do I.”
