Desire2Learn - D2L

Desire2Learn (D2L) is a course management system that is primarily used for faculty members who teach online courses.  Many faculty members in face-to-face and web-enhanced courses use D2L to provide course materials to their students online.  Unless designated as an online course, some courses may not be listed on D2L. Instructors have the option of requesting that their course be available online.

Using Desire2Learn for the First Time

To login to Desire2Learn as an employee, your username is your firstname.lastname (for example, Patrick Hanson would be patrick.hanson), and your default password will be one of the following:

• Birth date in YYMMDD format (e.g., 800105, for January 5, 1980)
• The last six digits of your social security number
• If neither of the above is in the web registration system, the default password will be blank (do not enter a password for initial login).
