Biomedical Programs
Biomedical Technologist 62 credits
This program prepares you for entry-level positions or promotional opportunities in biomedical device and biomedical product companies and for transfer toward a bachelor’s degree at specific colleges. Successful graduates will work in manufacturing, product development and testing.
Biomedical Core 17 credits Certificate This streamlined 17-credit program has been designed to help you get started in a career in the Medical Device Industry, and on your way to more advanced Biomedical Technology (BMED) Certificate and AS Degree Programs. The BMED Core courses are tailored to the Medical Device industry and will complement your previous education or work experience for career transition or advancement in biomedical device and biomedical product companies. This program also transfers to the Biomedical Technologist Associate in Science degree program. A successful graduate may work as a Manufacturing Team Member, R & D engineer, accountant, etc. depending upon previous education and work experience.
Biomedical Technician 30-31 credits
This program prepares you for an entry-level position, or if you have previous education or work experience for career transition or advancement in biomedical device and biomedical product companies. This program also transfers to the Biomedical Technologist Associate in Science degree program. Successful graduates may work in manufacturing, product development, testing or other areas depending upon previous education and experience.
Clinical Research Professional 22 credits
Do you already have a degree in nursing, pharmacology, or biological sciences? This program prepares you to move into positions such as clinical research monitoring, clinical research coordination, clinical data management, and regulatory affairs.
Quality Systems for Biomedical Industry 18 credits Certificate This certificate program will prepare you to meet the critical, industry-specific educational needs in quality assurance and present the regulatory and quality standards that are required for the medical device industry. Classes include specific biomedical coursework in medical device design and manufacturing, regulatory environmental risk, and management for medical devices. Successful graduates will work in quality assurance and compliance, manufacturing and production.
Documentation/Configuration Management for Biomedical Industry Certificate 18 credits This certificate program prepares you to work in positions involved with documentation/configuration management within the biomedical device and products industry. Classes include specific biomedical coursework in storing, managing and retrieving medical device documentation. Successful graduates will work in developing and managing documentation and configuration. |
