World Language Placement Tests

One semester of college-level language is the rough equivalent of two years of high school language.  However, in order to ensure that you are enrolling in the right level, we recommend that you take our WebCape placement tests before registering for a language course.

The test is free and takes approximately 20 minutes.  At the end of the test, you will see your score, and shown which level you have tested into.  If your score is borderline, you may want to take the test a second time and average the scores.

If, after taking the test, you are still unsure of which level you should enroll in, please contact one of the instructors below:

French or German: Rita Newton

Shannon Kirkheide (Cambridge Campus)

Dale Omundson (Coon Rapids Campus)
