Cambridge Community College Foundation

The Cambridge Community College Foundation was organized in November of 1988 to promote an awareness and understanding of the college and to encourage, accept and administer gifts and grants that provide financial support for students and projects which would not be possible through regular college funding.

The Foundation's main goal is to make college affordable and accessible through scholarships to area residents who want to pursue post-secondary education. The Foundation is a tool for realizing the best in human potential and enabling people to enjoy helping other people. The legal Charter and by-laws create the formal entity of the Foundation, but the most important facet of the Foundation is its human element.

The Foundation gets volunteers involved and fosters a sense of identity with the college. The Foundation believes "friend" raising is as important as "fund" raising. Community-minded citizens who recognize the value of the educational programs at the college have helped support the educational needs of East Central Minnesota through the support of the college.

Community participation should - and does - come from everyone, not only those in top positions of business, finance and management. The community has an obligation to invest in the future of East Central Minnesota and to share the benefits of post-secondary education among area citizens.
