Orientation and Registration Sign-upOnline Orientation Anoka-Ramsey Community College provides students the opportunity to learn the necessary information to begin college successfully. All students enrolling for eight or more credits during their first semester are required to complete the college’s online orientation program. PSEO students are required to complete online orientation prior to registering for any classes at Anoka-Ramsey Community College. International students are required to meet with a designated International Student Advisor to fulfill their orientation requirements. Please call 001-763-433-1856. Any students who do not have internet access to complete the online orientation can utilize the technology resources at the college. Please call 763-433-1840 for the Cambridge campus and 763-433-1240 for the Coon Rapids campus to schedule an appointment. Registration Planning Session (RPS’s) Academic Advising organizes several Registration Planning Sessions (RPS’s) to assist students in selecting courses for the upcoming semester. Students will have the opportunity to talk with an advisor regarding degree/program requirements and appropriate course load. Students will receive help with registering for courses. In addition, campus tours will be offered for interested students. These sessions are highly recommended for new students and any returning students who would like help with course selection and/or interpreting degree/program requirements. PSEO students are required to attend an RPS in order to register for classes. Note also that PSEO students and students who register for less than eight credits cannot register for class online, but must register in person at the Records Office. Transfer students should not attend an RPS session. A transfer student is a student who has earned 12 or more college level credits and has attained a GPA of 2.0 or above. If you meet this definition of a “transfer student” you are encouraged to schedule an appointment with an Academic Advisor before registering for classes. If you have less than 12 earned college level credits, you are advised to register for an RPS session. Please note that students must complete the college application, be accepted to the college, and have completed placement testing (Accuplacer) and online orientation prior to signing up for a Registration Planning Session. Your acceptance letter will include your Student Tech ID and instructions to determine your PIN number, both of which are required to sign up for an RPS.
