General/Transfer Students

New first-year (general) and transfer students starting in Fall 2025 at Anoka-Ramsey will now be participating in Orientation & Registration Express. The Fall 2025 semester begins on Monday, August 25. The deadline to add or drop most courses without penalties is Friday, August 29.

About Orientation & Registration Express Fall 2025

These in-person sessions will be held at both the Coon Rapids and Cambridge campuses. They are specifically for students who have not yet applied or have recently applied to the college and are preparing to start this Fall semester. During these sessions, students will receive:

    • Information on college resources, policies, and procedures
    • Assistance with course registration
    • Guidance on preparing for the semester ahead

Check-In Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Dates:

      • Monday, August 18 – Friday, August 22
      • Monday, August 25 – Friday, August 29

Locations: 

      • Coon Rapids Campus: Mississippi Room (C270), map
      • Cambridge Campus: Information Desk, map

What to Know Before Attending Orientation & Registration Express

Here’s a quick summary of the important details you need to know:

  • StarID: Make a note of your StarID and password, as you'll need them for Orientation & Registration Express.
  • Orientation Duration: Orientation & Registration Express might take several hours to complete, so plan your time accordingly.
  • Information Needed: Bring copies of your high school/GED transcripts, college transcripts/credits (if applicable), and a photo ID.
  • Course Availability: Since Fall 2025 classes start on Monday, August 25, course availability is limited. Be prepared to be flexible with your course selections and timings. Note that any missed class time might not be excused.
  • Tuition Payment: Arrange payment for tuition and fees by Tuesday, September 2, to avoid being dropped from your courses.
  • Add/Drop Deadline: The deadline to add or drop most courses is Friday, August 29. Removing courses from your schedule after this date will result in a W on your transcript and you’ll be financially responsible for the course(s).
  • Holds on Accounts: Ensure there are no holds on your account from other Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, as this could impact your ability to attend this semester.
