FALL PSEO STUDENT ONLINE ORIENTATION

Have you received your acceptance letter for the PSEO program at Anoka-Ramsey? Congratulations! You now qualify to complete a PSEO orientation session.

Below is a pre-orientation checklist, instructions on how to request your online orientation and what to do after completing online orientation to register for classes.

Pre-Orientation Entrance Steps

  • Know Your StarID and Password.
  • Complete your PSEO Advising Form.
    • Meet with your high school counselor, dean or school official and complete the Advising Form prior to your orientation session.
    • Need a new form? Click here.
  • If applicable, send official transcripts of AP/IB scores to Anoka-Ramsey.
    • If you have not completed an AP or IB course, you do not need to complete this step.

Request Your Online Orientation

Complete and submit the Fall 2020 PSEO Online Orientation Request. Within three business days:

  • You will receive access and instructions to your online orientation via email if all pre-orientation entrance steps have been completed, 
  • If some of your pre-orientation entrance steps are incomplete, an orientation team member will call you and advise you on how to complete these steps.
  • Our PSEO online orientation provides you with the following:

    • Overview of the college and support resources
    • Important dates and deadlines to know
    • Necessary Academic Policies of the college to know and follow
    • Key differences between college and high school expectations
    • PSEO-specific policies and restrictions for PSEO students
    • Tutorials on technology set-up and how to register for classes
  • After you complete your online orientation, you will be assigned your academic advisor!

    They will send you a welcome email including their online scheduling link to set up either a phone or online meeting with them. At this meeting, you and your advisor will cover:

    • Course recommendations for your first semester at Anoka-Ramsey
    • Additional questions you have about the orientation content you viewed
    • Registration help for your first semester
    • A list of next steps to consider and complete after your registration

    PSEO students are required to meet with their advisor before they will be able to register, so be sure to set up a time right away once you hear from your advisor!
