Enrollment Guidelines for Foreign Languages
To select the appropriate class, please follow the recommendations below. Be careful not to enroll in a class below your language abilities.
- Students with no language experience, or only
one year of high school language, enroll in
1101
- Students with two years of high school
language, enroll in 1102
- Students with three or four years of high
school language, enroll in 2201
Students enrolling in a Spanish course may take the Language Placement Exam to determine the correct placement level.
- Students who have not taken a language in
over one year and are unsure which level to
take
- Students who received a C or lower in high
school language courses
