*Applications received by priority deadlines are given priority processing status. While applications are accepted throughout the year, applications submitted after the deadline will most likely be processed for the following term.

Graduation Application

To receive your degree, certificate, or MnTC from ARCC, you need to submit an application. To ensure a smooth graduation process, please submit your
Graduation Application PDF by the deadlines above. To receive a certificate, submit your Certificate Application PDF during the term you expect to complete your coursework.

For graduation applications submitted in a timely manner, the Records and Registration Office evaluates your academic record and provides you with a comprehensive degree audit report to identify any remaining course requirements.

GRAD PLANNER NOTICE - Cambridge

Finalize all graduation/commencement activities
by following these steps!

  • Submit your “intent to walk ” card.
  • Pick up your cap and gown.
  • Purchase additional announcements in the Bookstore (the first two are free and are mailed to you).
  • Purchase your Phi Theta Kappa tassel and stole in the Bookstore.
  • Arrange special accommodations, if necessary, for yourself and/or family members with Charlotte Lindahl.
  • Complete your Graduation Follow-Up Survey online.

 

GRAD FINALE INVITE - Coon Rapids
April 16, 2008,
9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Get all graduation/commencement activities finalized in one day / one place!

  • Submit your “intent to walk ” card.
  • Pick up your cap and gown.
  • Pick up two free announcements (additional announcements are available for a fee in the Bookstore).
  • Purchase your Phi Theta Kappa tassel and stole.
  • Arrange special accommodations, if necessary, for yourself and/or family members.
  • Get your picture taken for a screen show during Commencement.
  • Complete your Graduation Follow-Up Survey online.
  • Enjoy free popcorn while you visit with other graduates.
Can't attend the grad finale and/or commencement and still want a picture?
Stop by Michael Wall's office (L204 upper level College Services inside the Institutional Advancement office, Coon Rapids Campus) to have your picture taken. Call for an appointment at 763.433.1597.

Graduation Facts and Contacts

Caps and Gowns: Caps and gowns are required to participate in Commencement, and may be purchased through the Bookstore.

Catalog Requirement: Candidates for a two-year degree may choose to fulfill degree requirements outlined in any single catalog under which the student was enrolled, provided the catalog was in effect no more than four years preceding the date of graduation.

Degree Audit Reports: Find out if you have met your degree requirements by getting a degree audit report (DARS). You may request your own online or you may schedule an appointment with a counselor or advisor for assistance.

Diplomas and Diploma Covers: Diploma covers are handed out at the Commencement Ceremony. If you are not participating in Commencement, but would like a diploma cover, contact the Records and Registration Office. Diplomas are mailed approximately eight weeks after final certification.

Nursing Pinning Ceremony: A Pinning Ceremony is held in the fall for Cambridge nursing graduates and in the spring for Coon Rapids nursing graduates.

Residency Requirement:  At least 20 semester credits of your degree must be earned at ARCC. This residency requirement is reduced to 12 credits if you have transferred in at least eight semester credits from another MnSCU institution or from the University of Minnesota.

Celebrate your graduation! The College hosts two Commencement Ceremonies - one for Cambridge Campus graduates and one for Coon Rapids Campus graduates. All Associate Degree graduates are invited to participate to celebrate your hard work and achievements!

Alumni Relations: Welcome to the ARCC Alumni Association! You join more than 150,000 students who have received an education from ARCC. You have lots of chances to stay connected to the college: events, special service programs, mentoring or reconnecting opportunities. You've already joined the Alumni Association; now join us in being an active alum!

Grad Follow-Up Survey:  ARCC surveys all graduating students. Your feedback is important to us. You may complete your survey online using your Student/Tech ID and PIN, or you may complete a paper survey. Graduates who complete a Grad Follow-Up Survey automatically receive one free official transcript valued at $5.

Job Placement Services: If you're looking for a job, need help with applications, resume writing, interviewing techniques, or job search tips, check out our Job Placement Office. Job Placement is constantly in touch with area employers seeking to hire, and has the latest information regarding labor market information and job search skills.
