Personal Counseling

Woman All of us experience stressful periods in our lives at one time or another.  Counseling services are designed to assist students deal with personal concerns that might interfere with their academic work at Anoka-Ramsey Community College.

These services are offered free of charge to currently enrolled students and can be accessed by making an appointment. To make an appointment, please call 763.433.1830 Cambridge campus or 763.433.1230 Coon Rapids campus.

In the course of providing counseling to students, many are referred to appropriate community resources. A partial listing of referral sources is provided below.

Provides crisis intervention by telephone, and referral to local services as needed. Problems dealt with include family conflicts, suicide, pregnancy, abuse, runaways and alcohol/drug addictions. English and Spanish speaking services are provided. As this is a national hotline, there can be some delay before speaking with an intervention specialist.
