Online Career Exploration

Although our career center has lots of information on career exploration and occupational research you may want to get started now, on-line. Developed by an Anoka-Ramsey counselor, the following self-directed career exploration guide will help you begin your own career development journey. So take that first step now. 

The process of career exploration is one that we all use many times throughout our lives. Often, when we start out as young adults we want to find the “perfect” career that will be fulfilling to us personally and professionally for the rest of our lives. However, most individuals will have many careers throughout their life span so it’s extremely important to feel comfortable with the process of career exploration.

Career exploration involves a four-step process that includes self-assessment, occupational research., educational research, and job hunting strategies. This self-directed career exploration guide will provide a foundation for your own individual journey.

You can print out this guide and write down your responses. You can assemble the pages in a booklet format - make sure to note the page numbers!! 

You can also do this guide on-line - make sure you print out you responses after each session so you have a history of your work.
