Adult Learner

A student and child

So, you decided to take the plunge and go to college! Congratulations.

Often, the first step in deciding to come (or come back) to college is the hardest, so let us help you develop a plan of action to achieve your educational and career goals. The counselors at Anoka-Ramsey have experience and a real commitment to helping returning adult learners transition into our campus environment. We'll help you seek balance between school and your other life commitments.

Call us at 763.433.1840 Cambridge campus or 763.433.1240 Coon Rapids campus to set up an initial appointment -- we're here to help!

If you need to brush up your skills before enrolling in college, Mindquest Academy offers online classes to Minnesota adults who may not be college-ready.

Wondering how you might fund that first class? If you have been out of high school or college for seven years, you may qualify for the ALLISS Grant.

As an adult learner, you may also be interested in ways you can earn college credit for your work and life experience through our Competency-Based Education program.

Or, begin your return to college by exploring some online resources designed specifically for the adult learner:
